AFC Summer 2017 meeting registration

The Acid Fast Club Summer Meeting 2017

to be held on Thursday 6th – Friday 7th July 2017

at the University of Leicester

The Summer Meeting will be held at the University of Leicester on July 6-7th 2017; for the final programme and directions, see below.

The timeline (as ever!) is short for registration.

Please note that as spaces are limited to 133, and we have to do a two-step registration:

1. Members are requested to fill in a Doodle poll with their name followed by the number of guests they intend to bring in brackets no later than May 26th. Members and speakers have priority and after that it will be on a first-come first-served basis.  Members will receive an email stating how many of their guests we can accommodate.

Remember that guests pay a registration fee of £5

2. Please pay for your booking by PayPal if you can by going to this site, and email the confirmation with the booking form to Natalie Garton no later than Friday 10th June. If you do not use PayPal please send a cheque payable to “The Acid Fast Club” along with your booking form to Natalie at: Dept Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, University of Leicester, Maurice Shock Building, University Road, Leicester LE1 9HN.

The Winter Meeting will be held at Queen Mary University of London on January 6th 2017.

The timeline is short for registration; absolute deadline Friday 16th December.  Please pay for your booking by PayPal if you can by going to this site, and email the confirmation with the booking form to Mr Glenn Poon (g.poon AT qmul.ac.uk). If you do not use PayPal please send a cheque payable to the Acid Fast Club along with your booking form to Glenn.

Offered papers should be sent on the appropriate form to the meeting secretary, Tine Arnvig (k.arnvig@ucl.ac.uk) no later than Friday 11th November. The form can be downloaded here.  All papers should include the title, affiliation of each author and a short summary (no more than 100 words). Papers cannot be considered after the club’s committee meeting.

Nominations for new members may also be sent to Tine Arnvig. Please provide the name of the nominating and seconding members and the full contact details of the proposed member no later than Friday 11th November.

Remember that if you nominate a new member you should expect to attend the meeting!

Programme for the Winter Meeting and AGM which will be held at NIMR, Mill Hill on January 9th 2015. This will be the last of many memorable Acid Fast Club meetings at Mill Hill and I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. For those who could not attend the anniversary meeting in Berlin, included in the winter programme is a fascinating perambulation through the history of the Club by Ann Rawkins.

Please register by emailing your forms to Teresa Cortes by midnight December 12th and also pay any registration fees for your guests and payment for the post-talks buffet reception via the PayPal link here (cheques sent to Teresa only if you cannot negotiate PayPal)
